Language Family Explorer is an interactive application for visualizing both modern and extinct language families. It generates a dynamic graph where related languages are clustered together, allowing you to explore linguistic relationships at a glance.
The graph begins with a selected set of families and gradually expands, adding new languages over time. You can control the pace of generation and toggle drawing using the menu buttons above the graph.
The graph is fully interactive. Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out, or click and drag to reposition the view. Clicking on any language family node opens a pop-up with a brief description of that family, helping you learn more as you explore.
